These devices can be used to convert a serial output to a
parallel output or a
parallel output to a serial output for printer applications.

These printer sharing devices allow multiple computers to share one printer.
The non-powered 2 to 1 auto
switch has two input ports and one parallel printer output port. Timeout is
6-8 seconds and scanning time is
.25 seconds. The 4 to 1 powered printer sharing devices provide automatic or
manual switching. A dipswitch
enables the user to adjust the timeout period and to enable/disable the form
feed feature. The signal
protocol is only 6 x 4 x 1 inches. It is provided with velcro adhesive pad
for easy mounting. It has LED’s for
signaling which device is active and whether it is in manual or automatic mode.
An optional 9V DC power
supply is available for extended distance applications.
