Manual D-Sub Switch Boxes

These manual switch boxes feature a heavy duty rotary switch in a fully enclosed metal case. All connectors are fully wired. They have large, easy to turn knobs and rubber feet to protect desk or table tops. They are clearly marked for cable installation and switch selection.

AB Type – These switches have one common port that is switched between one of two other ports (A or B). The DB25 is excellent for sharing one parallel or serial printer with two PC’s or two printers with one PC. Sharing one printer with two PC’s requires one printer cable and two all wired male/male DB25 cables. Sharing two printers with one PC requires two printer cables and one all wired male/male DB25 cable.

ABCD Type – These switches have one common port that is switch between one of four other ports (ABCD).

Manual Centronics Switch Boxes

These manual switch boxes are similar to the D-Sub switch boxes above. They can be used in parallel printer applications. In an AB application connecting two PC’s to one printer, use with standard parallel printer cables and one male/male Centronics cable. To connect two printers to one PC, use one parallel printer cable and two male/male Centronics cables.
